All tankless water heaters over 100,000 Btu (Takagi TK1, Takagi TK2, Takagi TKD20, Takagi TM1, Paloma PH16FS) require Zurn P1000A pressure relief valve.

Tankless water heaters under 100,000 Btu (Paloma PH12 and Paloma PH6) require Zurn TP 1100A-4C temperature and pressure relief valve.


Installation Instructions:




1. No valve is to be placed between the relief valve and the tank.
2. The maximum recommended length of the dicharge line is not to exceed 15 feet. The end of the discharge line should be plain and not threaded.
3. The outlet of the valve shall terminate at a point of drainage, be pointed in a downward direction and not be directly connected to a sewer line.
4. No reducing coupling or other restriction shall be installed in the discharge line.
5. The discharge line shall be made of a material capable of withstanding 250?F andl be installed in such a way that it will allow complete drainage of both the valve and line.

Note: The above precautions are stipulated by FHA and ANSI standards.
