1. No valve is to be placed between the relief valve and the tank. 2. The maximum recommended length of the dicharge line is not to exceed 15 feet. The end of the discharge line should be plain and not threaded. 3. The outlet of the valve shall terminate at a point of drainage, be pointed in a downward direction and not be directly connected to a sewer line. 4. No reducing coupling or other restriction shall be installed in the discharge line. 5. The discharge line shall be made of a material capable of withstanding 250?F andl be installed in such a way that it will allow complete drainage of both the valve and line.
